VIP Poker (www.VipPokerRoom.ca) is a premier destination for poker players of all skill levels. Situated in the Kahnawake territory, just a 10 minute drive from Montreal.

With a deadline of 120 days, John turned an out of date, non-functional structure – with limited water, waste and electricity -  to a premium “Full Service” Poker Lodge.  Highlights include:

• Project Planning and Example Photoshop Elevations.
• Budgeting including labor & materials.
• General Contracting, including interviewing trades, hiring, scheduling and managing trades & suppliers (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Masonry, Painting, Flooring, Audio & Video etc.)
• Negotiated with all trades and suppliers.
• Designed the complete interior and exterior of the casino/poker room.
• Designed and manufactured all interior and exterior signage.
• Conceptualized and designed in Photoshop all Intellectual Property, including the VIP Poker name and logo.
• Exterior “Promotional Billboard Design Concept”, which decorates the exterior and takes advantage of the geographic advantage of VIP Poker being situated on a major thoroughfare.
• Designed and manufactured all VIP branded merchandise including hats, shirts, patches, jerseys etc.
• Seventy 50″ televisions.
• Poker POS Business Systems including Membership Card printers and readers.
• Full service kitchen, and three (3) full service bar areas.

Consumer promotion and product sampling featuring Voodoo Tiki Display and The Voodoo Tiki Board.

Event catered over 2,500 consumers over a five hour period.

Voodoo Tiki Tequila “Gourmet Margaritas” – Prickly Pear Margarita & Blue Raspberry Kiwi Margarita – were sampled.

Traditional Platinum and Reposado Voodoo Tiki Tequilas were sampled.

Consumers were given an opportunity to take “The Voodoo Tiki Board Challenge” (See Below)

Over 300 Voodoo Tiki Collectable Shootglasses were distributed.

A Voodoo Tiki photographer was on hand to photograph consumers having fun with the Voodoo Tiki Board.  Consumers actively took “Cell Phone” photos of their friends, which were commonly uploaded to social media.

All Voodoo Tiki photos were available the following day for download at the Voodoo Tiki website.

There are Six (6) Cards in Every Set (Prickly Pear Back Shown Here)

To assist consumers in their search for exciting and delicious drink recipes, Voodoo Tiki Tequila released these collectable recipe cards.

These cards are available free to help VT retailers get the word out on Voodoo Tiki Tequila. The six (6) card set is printed on heavy 14 point card stock and UV coated for spill protection. Each card features an action shot of a favorite Voodoo Tiki Tequila classic cocktail on the front, and three recipes on the back.

The 6×4 cards were also marketed to to restaurants and bars as “Table Display Cards” to get customers mouths watering.

The set quickly became a sought after collectable to Voodoo Tiki Fans, so VT Staff began to ship a set free with all orders from the Voodoo Tiki Shop.

Retailers that are using the cards for display and giveaway have reported significant increases in Voodoo Tiki sales, as well as a terrific response from customers.

As always, cards were available by request, packed in VT Cases, as well as print ready files available for retailer and distributor download.

Each year Voodoo Tiki Tequila releases a very limited edition bottle of tequila known as “The Voodoo Tiki Coleccion Privada de la Familia.”  John is the lead designer on the project, and on three of the years hand painted the prototype packaging.

Below is a look at the complete history of one of the rarest, and most collectable tequila products in the world.

2007 – Coleccion Privada de la Familia – Vanguard Edition

The rarest of all Voodoo Tiki Coleccion Privada de la Familia offerings, this 750ml bottle is only differentiated from it’s anejo tequila cousin by a color change – the sealing wax and glass Voodoo Tiki inside are rich purple. Only 500 bottles were produced. Few were brought to the United States. It is estimated less than 25 still exist, bringing collector prices on this edition very high.

MSRP: $750

Current Value on Collectors Market: $3,600.

2008 – Coleccion Privada de la Familia – Honeywood Matte Edition

2008 introduced the first one (1) liter offering from Voodoo Tiki Tequila. Shipping in a hand carved Voodoo Tiki idol standing over 2 feet tall, the Voodoo Tiki Tequila Coleccion Privada de la Familia Extra Anejo was packaged in an authentic, real wood, hand carved Voodoo Tiki. Limited to 1,000 signed collections, the packaging also featured the Voodoo Tiki Tequila logo carved into the Voodoo Tiki Idol top. The limited quantity of 1,000 units, and the Carved Voodoo Tiki packaging and dimensions would continue from this offering forward.

Inside tequila aficionados were treated to one liter of small batch, craft, single barrel Voodoo Tiki Extra Anejo Tequila (Voodoo Tiki Tequila’s largest bottle to date). Voodoo Tiki aged Tequila is aged to taste, never color or time and features notes of sweet agave, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, dark chocolate, and brandy, without the heat, burn or rough finish which is synonymous with other tequilas. The bottles were handmade Mexican bubble glass and featured deep etched glass on the front, and an official Voodoo Tiki “Magic Word” on the back. Each bottle is also is crafted to feature a solid glass Voodoo Tiki Idol inside. Completing the package, each bottle is hand painted with 24 karat gold lettering.

2008 also marked the first year that lighting was incorporated into the package. The Tiki, when opened would rear illuminate the precious cargo, a technique that would continue until 2012 when the lights would be removed in a nod to “Doomsday Darkness.”

2009 – Coleccion Privada de la Familia – Glossed Mahogany Edition

The 2009 Coleccion Privada de la Familia featured rich dark wood staining, with a high gloss finish. The collection included four Voodoo Tiki Shot glasses Red, Blue and Green were always included. A fourth glass of random color – Red, Blue, Green,” Desert Rose” (Pink), or “Invisible” (Clear) was randomly inserted. The Desert Rose glass occurred in only 100 units, while the “Invisible” (clear) Voodoo Tiki glass occurred in only 50 (this random process would be duplicated in subsequent years.)

2009 also marked the first year Voodoo Tiki assisted tequila fans with pre-orders through select retailers. 476 units were pre-ordered by USA tequila fans. 524 were sold to distributors (both USA and International) for resale. The entire edition was sold out at the manufacturer in under 48 hours of release, a demand that would continue in each subsequent release.  An advance order form was created for customer pre-orders in liquor shops.

2010 Coleccion Privada de la Familia – Matte Wood Edition

The 2010 Coleccion Privada de la Familia featured an unfinished light wood, with light mahogany staining and a matte finish. The collection included four Voodoo Tiki Shot glasses – Red, Blue and Green were always included. A fourth glass of random color – Red, Blue, Green, Desert Rose (Pink) or Invisible (Clear) was randomly inserted. The Desert Rose glass occurred in only 100 units, while the “Invisible” (clear) Voodoo Tiki glass occurred in only 50.

In 2010 Voodoo Tiki’s very limited Coleccion Privada de la Familia Extra Anejo was awarded a silver medal by Tequila.net. The 94 point average (out of a possible 100) summarizes the reviewers thoughts as, “Outstanding. A Must Have.” This remarkable score despite the fact that price was a category. Tequila.net described the Coleccion Privada de la Familia Extra Anejo as:

“Voodoo Tiki Tequila Extra Anejo is 100% Agave and aged for three years in French white oak brandy barrels. This Voodoo Tiki Private Family Collection offering is a hand blown bottle and glass Tiki head, and contains one liter of Extra Anejo Tequila. The handcrafted wooden Tiki box is a precise replica of an original Voodoo Tiki, which stands almost 2 feet tall and weighs over 9 pounds! The interior is pre-lit and illuminates when opened, and contains 4 glass tiki shot glasses. Only 1,000 bottles of this collectible are produced each year. Each bottle is signed and numbered. Voodoo Tiki’s Extra Anejo is packed with rich Agave flavors throughout, buttery – spiced citrus, and an exceptional finish of chocolate, mint and vanilla. A true luxury spirit with unique packaging.”

2011 Coleccion Privada de la Familia Dia de los Murtos (Day of the Dead) Edition

The limited “Dia de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) edition of the 2011 Voodoo Tiki Tequila Coleccion Privada de la Familia, Extra Anejo was released on October 15th of 2011. On the release date 764 of the 1,000 unit release were pre-sold to Voodoo Tiki fans, with the remaining 236 sold to bars, restaurants, nightclubs or liquor store members of the Voodoo Tiki Selective Retailers program. The original MSRP was $1,000 per unit. The highest reported price to date for this collectors piece is a mind numbing $2,800.

The “Day of the Dead” edition featured the classic hand carved Voodoo Tiki idol hand painted with images of Mayan art, and interplanetary scenes depicting what many believe is the coming 2012 Doomsday. The front Voodoo Tiki face is painted in classic Dia de los Muertos, “Sugar Skull” fashion paying tribute to loved ones lost. Various symbols, concepts and designs have been incorporated into each unit making each package as unique as the lucky owner for which it was painstakingly created.

Inside the artisan package, tequila aficionados will discover one liter of small batch, craft, single barrel Voodoo Tiki Extra Anejo Tequila. The “Day of the Dead” is celebrated each year in Mexico. This day is a tribute to adults who have passed, when the souls of the dead join in celebration. 2012 Coleccion Privada de la Familia Doomsday Edition

The 2012 Doomsday edition of the 2012 Voodoo Tiki Tequila Coleccion Privada de la Familia, Extra Anejo was slated for release on March 15th of 2012. This edition sold out at the distributor level, in 30 days. The original MSRP is $1,000 per unit. The highest reported pre-sale price to date for this collectors piece is $2,800 (as of 7/11/2012).

The classic hand carved wooded Voodoo Tiki idol is meticulously hand painted matte black and filled with a mix of images, symbols and artwork. Various symbols, concepts and designs have been incorporated in a monochromatic design (save the red eyes) making each package as unique as the lucky owner for which it was painstakingly created. The lights have been removed to “Honor the Coming Darkness.” Every package includes a rare “Invisible” (clear) Voodoo Tiki shotglass, as well as the classic red, green and blue.

Inside the artisan package, tequila aficionados will discover one liter of small batch, craft, single barrel Voodoo Tiki Extra Anejo Tequila. Voodoo Tiki Tequila gets dozens of email inquiries from distributors asking for samples and information on the brand.  Traditionally, brands send out a folder of 6-30 pages, most of which rarely gets attention.

The objective of this video was to create a tool that would allow a “Snap Response” to an email distributor inquiry, and ideally turn a casual email request into a “Call In Request.”

 The budget of this video was under $100.

Each piece is a gallery wrapped canvas, and features a member of the Voodoo Tiki Family of ultr premium tequilas in the Warhol, “Pop Art” style. Each painting also has a pop culture theme. Voodoo Tiki Tequila Silver is surrounded by graffiti style Voodoo Tiki “tags”. The iconic bottle of Voodoo Tiki Tequila Reposado is surrounded by the lyrics of classic rock. Voodoo Tiki Tequila Anejo is graced with a move theme featuring movie lines of the last 40 years. Finally, the award winning Voodoo Tiki Tequila 3 Year Extra Anejo features numerous Voodoo Tiki, “Magic Words.”

Each piece measures an oversize 24×36. The series is expected to sell out quickly, but a limited number have been set aside for retail accounts. Relevant, fun, classy and very collectable, the series would make an incredible addition to high end restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

These tri-fold brochures often inspire multi-bottle purchases.
